Speech Therapy
Assisting individuals who have difficulty communicating, including speech, hearing, reading and writing and treats swallowing deficits. These difficulties result from stroke, traumatic brain injury, developmental delays, degenerative disease or many other related diagnoses. One of the most commonly experienced speech disorders is stuttering. Other speech disorders include apraxia and dysarthria. Speech disorders affect the vocal cords, muscles, nerves, and other structures within the throat. Common conditions that can lead to speech disorders are autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), strokes, oral cancer, laryngeal cancer, Huntington’s disease,dementia etc.
